Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our short-duration Port Blair birding runs.

Can I fit a birding session on the day I take a ferry to Havelock Island? +
Yes. If you catching afternoon ferries that depart Port Blair between 11:30 AM and 02:00 PM. Our morning birding session gets you back to your hotel by 10:15 AM, giving you plenty of time to check out, pack, and head to the jetty.
I only have 4 hours in Port Blair. Is a birdwatching tour worth it? +
Absolutely. Port Blair’s proximity to Chidiyatapu (30 mins drive) allows you to target 6 to 10 Andaman endemics (including Andaman Shama, Andaman Bulbul, and Andaman Coucal) in a single morning session between 05:30 AM and 10:00 AM.
What if my family wants to sleep in or stay at the hotel? +
Because all our tours are 100% private, you can head out early for dawn-chorus birding while your family rests or enjoys the hotel amenities. You will be back at the hotel before mid-morning, allowing you to spend the rest of the day together on family sightseeing or beach trips.
How many Andaman endemics can I expect to log in 4 hours? +
On our morning Chidiyatapu forest run, listers regularly log 6 to 10 priority Andaman endemics (such as the Andaman Shama, Andaman Bulbul, Andaman Coucal, and Andaman Drongo). On afternoon wetland runs at Sippighat, key targets include the endemic Andaman Teal.
Can you pick me up from the airport or handle my luggage? +
Yes. If you have a tight schedule between flights and hotel check-ins, our private AC vehicles can accommodate your luggage. We can pick you up directly from Port Blair Airport (IXZ) or drop you off at the jetty post-tour.
Do I need to pack my own spotting scope? +
While you should bring your preferred binoculars, your naturalist always carries a high-grade field spotting scope. This is especially helpful for wetland viewing at Sippighat and picking out distant forest canopy perches without adding heavy gear to your luggage.
How does booking and payment work? +
We require a 25% advance deposit to block and confirm your naturalist and private vehicle. The remaining balance can be paid conveniently in cash or online transfer during the tour.
